How we check जांच का तरीका
We place Mars by sidereal (Lahiri) sign and count whole-sign houses from your lagna and from your Moon. North Indian practice counts houses 1, 4, 7, 8 and 12; South Indian texts also count the 2nd, so we show both. Manglik from both points is marked high; from one point, partial. Then we look for cancellations: Mars in Mesha, Vrishchika (own) or Makara (exalted); house-sign exceptions often quoted (2nd in Mithuna/Kanya, 4th in Mesha/Vrishchika, 7th in Karka/Makara, 8th in Dhanu/Meena, 12th in Vrishabha/Tula); Jupiter with or aspecting Mars; and Mars with the Moon. Rules vary between families and pandits.

What is Manglik dosha?मांगलिक दोष क्या है?
A chart is called Manglik when Mars sits in the 1st, 4th, 7th, 8th or 12th house (South Indian texts add the 2nd), counted from the lagna, and often also from the Moon. It is said to bring intensity to marriage, not doom.
