About Kundli Jyoti

Kundli Jyoti is a free, bilingual (Hindi and English) Vedic astrology site built and run by Harsh Lariya, an independent product builder in India. It started from a simple frustration: most astrology apps either guess, use generic sun-sign text, or sell fear and expensive remedies.

How the calculations work

• Planet positions come from an astronomical ephemeris (astronomy-engine), computed for your exact date, time and place of birth.
• Sidereal zodiac: positions are converted with the exact Lahiri (Chitrapaksha) ayanamsa, the standard used by the Indian government's Rashtriya Panchang.
• Houses are whole-sign bhavas counted from the lagna, as in North Indian charts.
• Dasha is Vimshottari, calculated from the Moon's exact position in its nakshatra, down to the prana level.
• Panchang (tithi, nakshatra, yoga, karana, sunrise, Rahu kaal) is computed per city from the real positions of the Sun and Moon.

Daily rashifal is generated from the Moon's transit through each rashi and the day's planetary positions, not copied from elsewhere. Ask Jyoti and the written report use an AI model that is given your computed chart, so its answers reference your actual placements.
